About Caitlyn

In the very deepest part of me, I believe in the potential of people.  To help others imagine better and make it a reality is the highest calling I can imagine.

I have been teaching 13- to 16-year-olds in alternate and First Nation schools since 1997 — my dream from the time I was 12-years-old!  I have a soft spot for cats and dogs and humans in distress!

Having dared to imagine better I find myself living my dream – but my journey was complicated.  Maybe yours is, too?

I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Creative Writing; a Bachelor of Education; a Masters of Education; and a Masters of Counselling Psychology.
I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (RCC#13847).

My areas of practice include (but aren’t limited to): relationship difficulties (family, romantic, workplace, friendships), maladaptive behaviours (including addiction to porn).

Teens and adults are welcome.  I am a proud ally of the 2SLGBTQ+ community (Sexual Orientation & Gender Identity safe).  All genders, identities, and orientations welcomed.

I use Reality Therapy (William Glasser) and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Retraining) as my main methodologies, and draw from compatible understandings when appropriate.

If it seems we might be a “good fit”, please text or leave a voice mail on my confidential line, 604 657-6443 (after 3:00 p.m. weekdays), or drop me an email at caitlyn@imaginingbetter.com.
