Our beach combing was fabulous. Warm tidepools. Sea Stars, Brittle Stars, Sea Anemones, Crabs galore, Barnacles, Muscles, Oysters, Hermit Crabs, Scallops, Minnows, and all manner of gloriously coloured rocks. My Sweetheart chasing the dog with a starfish. "Brodie! What's in the bucket?" … I wasn't fast enough to get the photo of the starfish on his [...] After the gorgeousness of tripping around New York City, and through the gardens of Eden, and visiting the Amish and our family, we touched down at home for a night. I can’t believe we didn’t take photos of our nomadic, house-sitting family, the Canfield’s! When we got home in the late afternoon, they were putting the finishing [...] For the next segment of our trip, we will pull the curtain and keep some of the pictures private. First, there are the pictures of our dear Pamum’s ashes in the beautiful stainless steel box fashioned by my brother-in-law – and the burial of the same in a beautiful cemetery near her home. We saw the Stonewall Inn in Greenwich Village which is credited as the symbolic beginning of the very out, very loud gay rights voice. Not August 23rd or August 24th. One of those days my parents got married, and the other day my grandmother was born.
